The eggs sat uncovered in the center of the massive stick nest while the camera quietly streamed the scene to thousands of viewers watching live. No adult eagle was visible on screen, the eggs appeared alone, and in the background, the unmistakable sound of ravens echoed through the forest. On the morning of February 28, 2026, as the first light crept over Big Bear Lake, something quietly changed in the nest. Jackie had guarded her eggs through the night. The forest was still.
